Rights & Reconstruction Method
This project uses the public-domain text of the Shanhaijing as its factual foundation. Modern explanations, character designs, maps, sound, animation and video follow an independent creation process.
Three information layers remain separate
- Source facts
Form, location, voice, ability and omen explicitly stated in the ancient text.
- Versions and interpretation
Commentaries, textual variants and modern scholarship retain attribution and uncertainty.
- Artistic reconstruction
Colour, material, scale, ecology and movement absent from the text are labelled as original inference.
Layered motion standard
- Creature foreground
Breathing, blinking, head turns, gait, wingbeats, and tail motion affect only the transparent creature layer.
- Stable environment
Mountains, rocks, trunks, grass, and architecture must not deform or drift with the creature.
- Independent ambience
Water, cloud, rain, snow, and light may move only as separate environmental layers.

Ownership and commercial use
Original writing, visual development, redrawn artwork, sound design, animation and editorial arrangement are documented as independent project outputs. No modern copyright is claimed over the ancient text itself. Before release in a commercial product, third-party scans, fonts, audio and platform assets must each be checked for licence scope and commercial-use terms.
