These terms apply to the Shanhai Wonders website and its initial iOS and Android releases. By using the product, you agree to use it lawfully and to respect the rights described below.

1. Cultural and educational purpose

Shanhai Wonders is an illustrated cultural and educational interpretation of the Shanhaijing. It does not present its artistic reconstructions, sounds, maps, or animations as archaeological records, scientific classifications, or precise modern geography.

2. Sources and original work

Public-domain ancient text is identified separately from modern explanation and original reconstruction. Original writing, visual design, redrawn artwork, sound, animation, video, software, and editorial arrangement may not be copied, republished, sold, scraped, or used to train a commercial system without permission, except where applicable law permits.

3. Personal use

You may browse the website and use the app for personal, non-commercial learning and enjoyment. You may share links and platform-provided previews. Downloading or extracting complete media collections, bypassing technical safeguards, or misrepresenting the project as your own is prohibited.

4. Availability and changes

Features and content may be corrected, expanded, withdrawn, or updated as research and production continue. We aim to preserve downloaded core content but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to online services or third-party links.

5. Disclaimer and responsibility

The product is provided for general cultural information. To the extent permitted by applicable law, it is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
